MAST Membership

There are two simple ways to become a MAST member.

1 ) Take our basic workshop class. The the Basic Level Class is to become a member of MAST and take part in our ongoing archaeological field work.  This level will teach you the basics of nautical archaeology, why we do it and how to do it.  Topics include, Ship Parts, Trilateration, Survey Equipment, and Laws and Ethics.

2 ) Pay a $75 membership fee.  $50 of this goes to the Great Lakes Historical Society and $25 goes to MAST.  Through this avenue you are a MAST member with all privileges except for participating in survey activities other than non-diving duties.  If at some time in the future you decide to take the workshop the $25 will be applied to the cost. 

Both membership avenues result in lifelong membership with no additional dues.
